Agricultural shows are of immense value and benefit for local communities. Run by community volunteers, Show Societies and the events they run are for the community, by the community.

Research shows that Australia’s unique Agricultural shows offer $9.6 million dollars of economic benefits. Additionally, the educational, competitive and cultural experiences harnessed with a celebration of volunteerism offer powerful social benefits to communities.

These economic and social benefits underscore just why it is important to support and promote Agricultural Shows. This is why show day public holidays are only allocated for annual Agricultural Show events.

Queensland Ag Shows are committed to continuing our work with Gladstone Show Society towards an outcome that serves the economic and social interests of the Gladstone community.
